Terms of Use
These Terms govern use of PreciselyMaybe, including beta or evaluation features and commercial features when they are enabled. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to the applicable version of these Terms.
Product operator identification
PreciselyMaybe is operated at this stage by MALUF HOMSI HOLDING DE PARTICIPACOES SOCIEDADE UNIPESSOAL LTDA, CNPJ 37.518.013/0001-67. For transactions it processes, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record/authorized reseller and charges the buyer.
1. Beta software
PreciselyMaybe is early-stage software offered for evaluation. Features, calculations, limits, sources and interface may change or be removed, and the service may be interrupted. No availability, accuracy or continuity is guaranteed during the beta.
2. Informational tool only
PreciselyMaybe provides decision-support estimates about legal-work scope, effort and pricing context. Outputs are informational. They are not legal advice, a quote, a valuation, or a statement that any fee is correct, fair, mandatory or sufficient. You remain responsible for professional judgment, engagement terms and pricing decisions.
3. What you must not submit
Do not submit documents, client or counterparty names, personal data, privileged material, secrets or confidential information. Describe work in generic terms only. You are responsible for ensuring that what you submit does not breach professional secrecy, contractual duties or data-protection obligations.
4. Identifier and privacy screening
PreciselyMaybe attempts to detect and block obvious identifiers before an external AI call. This is a best-effort safeguard and cannot guarantee that every identifying or confidential element will be detected. A blocked field should be rewritten in generic terms.
5. Accounts and authentication
Some functions require a signed-in account. Authentication is provided through Supabase Auth. The browser may retain the authentication session locally until sign-out, expiry, revocation or local clearing. Early-access accounts may retain tester status; public commercial accounts use the standard plan and billing rules shown in the product.
6. How an analysis is processed
The raw matter description is used transiently to interpret scope and is not intentionally persisted by PreciselyMaybe in its database, analytics, calibration records, payment metadata or browser flow snapshot. The browser may keep structured in-progress state for the current session, such as selected activities, answers, pricing inputs and calculated result state, so the flow can continue without storing the raw description.
7. AI processing
Scope interpretation and result explanation may use hosted AI providers through the PreciselyMaybe server. Account identity is not intentionally included in the model prompt. PreciselyMaybe instructs the AI gateway not to use prompts for training. Unless a supported zero-retention route is specifically active, upstream providers may keep operational records under their own terms; users should therefore submit only generic, non-confidential descriptions.
8. Stored product data
Where a feature requires persistence, PreciselyMaybe may store structured and sanitized data such as activity IDs, assumptions, effort ranges, risk, pricing figures, Price Fit, jurisdiction, saved analyses, reusable templates and feedback. Community topics and replies are intentionally stored user content. The raw matter description is not part of these stored records by design.
9. Credits, plans and paid access
When commercial billing is enabled, plan entitlements and credit balances will be controlled by the server. Quick, Full and Advanced analyses may consume different credit amounts. Monthly credits renew on the subscription anniversary. Purchased credit packs do not expire, are consumed after monthly credits and may be used only while a paid subscription is active. A failed subscription payment may suspend paid services until payment succeeds; stored balances are not erased solely because access is suspended.
10. One-off analyses
When commercial checkout is enabled, users may buy one or more one-off Quick, Full or Advanced analysis units. Each completed new matter consumes one available unit of the purchased mode. The structured result linked to a consumed unit may be reopened for 90 days from activation of that unit. Reopening the same result during that period does not consume another unit. Unused purchased units remain available subject to the applicable commercial and refund rules.
11. Billing and Paddle
When paid checkout is activated, Paddle will be used as Merchant of Record for customer checkout and may handle payment collection, applicable indirect taxes and customer invoices. PreciselyMaybe sends only the minimum account and commercial metadata needed for billing, such as account identifier, product key and purchase type. Matter descriptions, client identities, legal content and analysis results are not intentionally sent in payment metadata.
12. Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Subscription cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless the billing flow states otherwise. Upgrades may take effect immediately with proration and downgrades may take effect at the next cycle. Refunds, reversals and chargebacks can revoke the corresponding purchase benefits. For a refunded credit pack, unspent credits may be removed; partially consumed packs may require manual review rather than creating a negative balance. The final checkout terms shown at purchase control where they differ from this beta description.
13. Community and feedback
The private Community is for PreciselyMaybe product-support discussion, not legal advice or confidential matter discussion. Posts, replies and feedback may be stored and reviewed to operate and improve the product. Do not place client or matter-confidential information in these fields.
14. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, bypass authentication or usage limits, manipulate credits or billing state, probe other users' data, abuse AI endpoints, resell the service as a standalone competing product, or use PreciselyMaybe to construct a competing proprietary dataset. Access may be suspended or revoked for abuse or security reasons.
15. Intellectual property
The PreciselyMaybe interface, activity libraries, question sets, calculation logic, source-mapping structure and product materials belong to PreciselyMaybe or their respective licensors. Text you submit remains yours; you grant only the permission necessary to process it and return the requested service.
16. Professional judgment and limitation
Use PreciselyMaybe outputs at your own professional judgment and risk. To the extent permitted by applicable law, PreciselyMaybe does not accept responsibility for a professional, commercial or legal decision made solely on the basis of an estimate, score, source reference or AI-generated explanation.
17. Changes and availability
These Terms may be updated as the product, billing, security and legal requirements evolve. Material changes will be reflected with an updated date or version. Where applicable, continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Account deletion and unused benefits
You may delete your account even if unused purchased credits or one-off analysis units remain. Before final deletion, PreciselyMaybe will warn that unused balances, unused units and remaining product access will be permanently lost. When commercial billing is active, account deletion must also stop future recurring billing. Community discussions are preserved where possible, but the deleted account's author identity is anonymized; specific content may still be removed through a separate deletion or moderation request.
Contact
Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the product contact channel made available by PreciselyMaybe. For transactions processed by Paddle, buyers may also use Paddle's buyer-support and transaction-management channels.
PreciselyMaybe is an informational decision-support product. Paid transactions, when available, are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
